 Our dental hygienists offer a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment utilizing nutritional support, homeopathic remedies, blood tests, multiple irrigation techniques, diet modifications and antimicrobial.

 Meet Our Hygienists             

Polly Hoverter

Mrs. Hoverter is a 1986 graduate of  Northern Virginia Community College in 1986 where she received her Associate Degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She has a broad range of work experience in dentistry including orthodontics, periodontics, and clinical teaching since 1982.  She is a past Dental Hygiene Instructor and current Committee Advisor at Lord Fairfax Community College.  Polly has been practicing non-surgical periodontal treatment with Dr. Zunka since 1993.  Her extensive background utilizing the phase contrast microscope, irrigation options, nutrition and knowledge of Homeopathy create an effective long term successful hygiene program for her patients.

 

Kim Brake

Mrs. Brake is a 1992 graduate of Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke,Virginia where she received the Virginia Dental Hygiene Award for her graduating class.  She has worked with Dr. Zunka implementing the comprehensive non-surgical holistic approach to periodontal treatment.  Kimberly is a past Dental Hygiene Instructor at Lord Fairfax Community College.  Her achievements include a contribution to the publication, "Dry-Brush Technique" with Trisha O'Heir, she has worked extensively with the Virginia Dental Hygiene Association on a state an local level, including serving as President and Continuing Education Chair.  Kimberly has studied Homeopathy for many years and is active in several Dental Study Clubs.
